PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIALS
NON TRADITIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Many of the projects whose scope and end product is not well defined use Agile Project Management. This is specifically seen in the software development projects . SCRUM which is used widely is discussed in the section below:
SCRUM

(Pressman and Maxim, 2014)
-
FEATURES: A piece of the product that delivers some useful functionality to a customer. ( Gray and Larson, 2014)
-
SPRINTS: Iterative cycles which constitute of:
ANALYSIS -> DESIGN -> BUILD -> TEST
These usually last 4 to 5 weeks.
-
Scrum meetings - These are daily short meetings where the progress of the scrum and issues are discussed.
-
Product owner, development team and the Scrum master are part of a scrum.
-
There is a Scrum master who coordinates the sprints and a Product owner who prioritizes features.
